Homeschooler Encouraging Learning and Providing Support, also known as HELPS, is a board run home school support group whose goal is to provide educational opportunities for those families that home school their children.
These opportunities include monthly parent meetings, field trips, family assemblies, youth get-togethers, teen night, Teen Eagles, yearbook club, and talent/ art/project fair, holiday parties, standardized testing, graduation ceremony, and school portraits.
All of our activities as planned and presented with the family in mind. (OR As a group we strive to provide family friendly activities).
Our monthly parent meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month August through May. The majority of our meetings are held at Florissant Valley Baptist Church, 1025 North Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63031. The new homeschoolers workshop starts at 6:30pm with the parent meeting starting at 7pm.
The majority of our members are Christians. We begin our meetings with prayer.
We are not exclusive. All who home school are welcome!
